1.
Ideally the plan would be to grow the company to
such a level that I would simply hire a CEO and allow him to run the business for
me while I collect paycheck on the beach somewhere. However, a strong play in
the business strategy lies in licensing, so if that appeared to be the best
move the company would likely be sold at an early stage.
2.
I picked this strategy because the goal is to
eventually raise enough revenue to become an investor, rather than an operator.
3.
I don’t think the exit strategy has had much of
an impact on the previous steps in the concept stages at all. As a prospect
idea it is hard enough to even see past the testing stage, yet a scaled company
with infrastructure. It is nearly impossible to anticipate the possible path of
a company or the possibilities of a large buyout or merger. Similar to life you
have to take business a day at a time keeping in mind a long-term goal. The
goal of this company if ever created would simply be to grow the product line
to its fullest potential and simply see what offers or possibilities exist.
Hi Eric,
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of hiring a CEO and just sitting back and enjoying the profits. I agree that your exit strategy will not have much of an impact on the previous steps of your concept. Also, I like how you compared business to life with having to take it one day at a time.
Hello Eric,
ReplyDeleteI also hope that you will become CEO! That is always a great goal since you run the ship and have the best chance of impacting people in hopefully the best ways possible. I think you have a great idea of what you want to do and I hope that you are able to reach these goals in your exit. There is a lot of money available as CEO if you are able to do a good job on a large company, and definitely when you do mergers and other things to sell it off or even grow. Best of luck to you! Hi Eric! I love your vision for your exit strategy. I would love to hire a CEO to run my business and go live on the beach too! It seems like you have great confidence in your business venture, which is awesome. I think if you really love your venture, you should treat it like your baby and want it to grow as much as possible. So I think you nailed that!
